The Problem

Large organizations were collecting ESG data across disconnected teams, spreadsheets, and reporting tools. That made reporting cycles slow, audit trails weak, and leadership visibility inconsistent. As disclosure pressure increased, manual coordination became the main bottleneck.

For a multinational with dozens of production sites, the annual cycle consumed months. Sustainability teams distributed spreadsheet templates by email, chased missing submissions, manually reconciled inconsistent responses, and routed approvals on paper. Report generation meant re-keying the results into document templates—error-prone work that offered no real-time visibility into progress.

What We Built

We built a centralized ESG workflow platform that standardizes data intake, validation, and reporting in one place. The product includes configurable forms, role-based workflows, and reporting outputs aligned to stakeholder requirements. Teams can now collect evidence and move from raw inputs to publishable reporting without rebuilding the process each cycle.

The platform models the organization itself—business units, sites, roles, and approval chains—so collection campaigns can target the right contributors with forms tailored to each site type. Validation happens at submission rather than at the end, which moves error correction to the point where the person entering the data can still fix it easily.

Campaign-based data collection

Sustainability teams launch collection campaigns scoped to frameworks, date ranges, and target sites. The system generates forms appropriate to each site type and tracks completion against deadlines automatically.

Multi-framework reporting

One dataset produces disclosures aligned to multiple reporting standards, so organizations reporting under several frameworks collect once rather than running parallel processes.

Role-based approval workflows

Submissions move through a defined state machine with contributor, reviewer, and approver roles, replacing paper sign-off with an auditable digital trail.

External system integration

Connectors pull data directly from source systems—energy management, HR—so contributors verify pre-filled figures instead of re-entering them by hand.

How It Works in Practice

A multinational manufacturer with dozens of production sites across several regions, reporting under multiple ESG frameworks.

    Model the organization

    Administrators import the structure of business units and sites, assign contributor and approver roles, and configure which indicators are material to each part of the business.

    Launch a collection campaign

    The sustainability manager selects frameworks, a reporting period, and target sites. The platform generates site-appropriate forms and notifies contributors with a clear deadline.

    Collect and validate

    Site contributors complete forms covering energy, water, waste, and workforce metrics. Validation runs at submission—required fields, data types, range checks—catching errors while they are still cheap to fix.

    Approve and publish

    Submissions route through the approval chain with full traceability, then generate finished reports in the required output formats without manual re-keying.
